Longtime Islanders and owners of The Goldsmith Shop,
Gary and Brenda Fronczak have been sharing the resort
pleasures of Hilton Head Island with locals and visitors
for almost as long as there's been a Hilton Head Island resort.
Gary first visited the Island back in the late 60s when
the famed resort we know today was just a glimmer in a visionary's eye.
Like so many others before and after him, the Island's
beauty and promise lured him back. In 1973, he and his
young bride, Brenda, left the cold winters of
Buffalo for the sweet sea breezes and soft sands of Hilton Head.
They never looked back.
A few months later, The Goldsmith Shop - Hilton Head Island's
first jewelry store - was born and soon moved into cozy
quarters in oceanside Coligny Plaza, then the only shopping
district on the Island.
